Hi there! I'm Hannah Hendricks; master cosmetologist/lash artist/hair extension specialist, owner of Top Knotch Salon. I have the best wife, Cheyenne and I'm a mom to the coolest little boy, Asher, who is my whole heart. I have 3 Cane Corso Mastiffs, a small pack of cats, a tortoise and a ball python. I also have 13 siblings so my life is basically a zoo of people and animals. I'm the chaotic, type B, vegetarian, Leo bestie that you didn't know you needed! I grew up in Detroit Lakes, MN and moved to Fargo right after I finished high school. I graduated from The Salon Professional Academy in September 2015, had my son in late 2016 and decided I needed the flexibility of being my own boss so I could be the most present mom I could be... which is kind of where this all started! I booth rented for a few years, expanded to suite rental as Top Knotch for a few more years with Crystal and then decided I wanted to offer more. I officially opened Top Knotch Salon as a suite rental salon in February 2024; and surprise! not even a full year later I decided to go even further, gained 1,100sqft and opened the booth rental, open concept side of the salon.
At the salon, I love blonding and color corrections, and doing fun vivid/rainbow hair sets my soul on fire! Eyelash and hair extensions are such a passion of mine that I actually became a hair extension educator for Babe Hair in 2022. Wedding makeup and hair takes up every weekend of mine about 7 months off the year and it's definitely a fun way to spend a Saturday morning. I truly believe I was born for this industry, I don't know if anyone loves their career quite like I do. My love started before I can even recall as my mom inspired all of this, being a cosmetologist herself, so the salon has always been my second home. I love being able to help people look how they want and express on the outside how their soul feels inside and the relationships/connections I've built with people through my work are unlike any other. I say it all the time but I really believe I have the best job in the entire world!
I wanted to create a salon space where everyone feels safe, welcomed, heard and seen. Where you get to be authentically you all the time and the energy feels genuinely good. Where you could also get all of your beauty services done in the same place with like-minded individuals. So Top Knotch really was created with my whole heart for everyone.
When I'm not at the salon or taking care of my small zoo, you can find me thrifting with my wife, doing everything and going everywhere with Asher, hanging out with my parents and siblings in the lakes area or couch rotting with a good tv series. I'm a RuPaul's Drag Race super fan and I'm an amazing trivia partner. I believe North Fargo is the best part of Fargo, live music is magic, every meal should be followed by a sweet treat and that life really is not that serious.
